...for when ordinary images are not an option.

A great day for a drive!!

My parents had a few people round for supper the other night and I couldn't believe it when I heard two of their guests arrive. I knew their car, before I had met them, it was unmistakably the Aston Martin V8 Vantage! Amazing - it was probably a jammy guess but very exciting nonetheless.

I have always loved cars and really am looking forward to eventually buying something 'fancy' or extremely fast. However, I was lucky enough to be having supper with someone who could possibly - If I played my cards right, take me for a ride in it!!

I set to work working out how to 'pitch' my rather selfish goal! My luck was in, as a married man and the father of 4 girls (who were totally indifferent to the car), I spotted and opportunity as he was clearly a petrol-head.  He spoke about his 'baby' with such passion, I knew I was 'in'. I offered to take some photographs of the car for him, and he jumped at the offer.  The problem was, where he had parked was not such a nice place and there were a few spots nearby but they would need driving to! Amazing!

8am the following morning came (they had stayed at my parents) and we set out, I had not, however anticipated it being still dark - schoolboy error! Especially for a photographer!  What I did decide was that since the owner of the Aston Martin didn't know the area, I'd give him a bit of a guided tour of Amberley and Minchinhampton, via a few hills and wooded avenues, not to mention all the bendy roads I could realistically fit in!!

What a morning! I had a collection of images that both I and the Car's owner really like and have now had a ride in an Aston.  I have also worked out what I am saving for if/when I can afford it!!

I hope you all like the images too!!

Thanks
